Also use for:
• Tennis and golfers elbow, shin splints, trigger points, rotator cuff syndromes, acupuncture points, trigger points, fibrositis. Arthritic conditions e.g. DJD (degenerative joint disease), Rheumatoid arthritis, gout
• Cartilage damage (e.g. meniscus bruising/tears), discus injuries/degeneration (e.g. slipped discus), synovitis
The following conditions are especially relevant in the diabetic patient:
• Metatarsal pain and inflammation, calcaneal spur, bunions, hammer and claw toe.
• Fractures (assists in faster callus formation) prevention of bone resorption, stress fractures
• Tempero-mandibular conditions, fibro-athralgia, spinal column pain associated with pain in the neck and back.
Also use for:
• Arthritic conditions (DJD)
• Ruptured discs and other discus trauma/disease
• Traumatic synovitis
• Chondrotic tearing
• Use following laminectomies and fusions
• Fractures and osteo trauma - light therapy increases callus formation
Oral Pathology
• Use following tooth extractions, dental implants, or skin breaks following dental work
• Acute and chronic sinusitis, rhinitis/rhinopathy, inflammatory skin conditions, gingivitis, hypersensitive dentine, oral mucositis
• Oral wounds, lip wounds, nose fractures
• Post operative ear, nose, throat and oral surgery
• Mouth ulcers, tooth abscesses, wounds after tooth extraction, pain after root canals, hypersensitive gums, gingivitis, hypersensitive dentine, post-operative pain after dental implants, mucositis after radiation, sore throat and tonsils and painful mouth nerve conditions.
• Direct the applicator at the problem area. Where tooth ache is present direct the applicator towards the tooth neck.
• On open wounds treat the area around the wound as well as inside the wound.
• For treatment of a sore throat, vocal cords or tonsillitis direct the applicator towards the problem and treat the whole affected area.
Infection
Treatable conditions include conditions that involve an infection process: e.g. certain bacterial, viral, and fungal infections.
NOTE: When infection is present, also treat the proximal lymph nodes, to stimulate the immune response.
Use for:
• Cold sores (on lips, genitalia or inside mouth). Treat the lesion as soon as it appears. Follow up treatment the next day with the 0-21 wounds protocol.
• Shingles. Treat the whole affected area once daily. Especially useful to relieve painful post-herpetic neuralgia that can follow shingles
• Acne, boils, tooth abscesses, cysts (inflamed or seborrhoiec), warts (better results obtained in children), osteoitis/bone infection, peri-anal abscesses, genitalia infections, and vaginitis (cover the probe in see-trough plastic to prevent cross infections)
• Bell's palsy, swimmers/tropical ear, tinnitus (good results have been obtained with certain types of tinnitus) and vertigo. Direct the probe in the ear canal, front and under the ear.
• Athlete's foot, fungal infections of the skin and nails - treat the whole area daily, until the condition has healed.
